Great food and great service

Thought I left a review earlier! 😬 I was here on a business trip. Everyone told me, “You need to be sure to visit ‘The Office’ restaurant”. Needless to say I had to look it up, and TBH I have not really watched the show much. The restaurant is located near downtown with plenty of parking on and off street. My first visit was later at night. Thus I accidentally parked in an employee lot and walked in a back door. Employees didn’t seem overly happy with my back door entrance, but they still seated me. Plus it was getting close to closing time. The menu is rather extensive. I didn’t do much research, but have always been told to order fish when closer to the ocean. Ordered the lobster bisque and the seafood fettuccini. The bisque is phenomenal. And for a cup of soup was very satisfying. I could have gotten by with ordering a bowl. The fettuccini was okay. There was plenty of seafood - shrimp (slightly overcooked), scallops (need to be cleaned better) and some crab meat. All very tasty, but the sauce needed some love and more of it. Also enjoyed an alcoholic beverage. The orange vodka thing. Very good and in fact didn’t even taste like it had alcohol. TRIP 2: I really wanted to taste more of what they have to offer. Really really really resisted getting an enormous bowl of that yummy bisque. I’m rather basic and get rather anxious with all of those options. So I opted for the Fish and Chips. Was not disappointed in the least. Not the best fish and chips I’ve had, but definitely worthy of eating again. The chips (steak cut French fries) were decent and seasoned well. The fish was equally well seasoned. Recommend getting the Tartar Sauce! My second time I was able to park in the main lot and come into the front entrance. This place has been open for close to a century. Keep that in mind. There are sooo many cool little trinkets and odds & ends. Pieces of Americana Leave yourself plenty of time to like around if this is stuff that you find interesting! Also hit the gift shop to get some stuff to take home. There are plenty of little things like key chains, magnets, playing cards, “Employee ID” all of it for the most part based off of ‘The Office’ COST! For dinner was ~$57 with 2 drinks, dinner and appetizer For lunch was ~$25 with a pop and entree

Second time here. First time was awesome so when we came to scranton brought some friends with us. Got the surf and turf. The food was cool and not hot (hate using the term cold). Mgr said she didnt understand because they take the food out as soon as its cooked. Well the lobster and the steaks even the friend who got hers well done wasnt hot. Its not my job to explain to you why your food wasnt hot so obviously we werent believed. But the food was okay taste wise. The lobster was rubbery. So if i had to guess i would say that our waiter left the food in the window or the cooks didnt time it properly or someone took it out of the heat lamp to plate it and left it down there too long waiting for it. Idk theres lots of reasons food could not be hot. Mgrs should be doing expediting its where there most useful but usually they find other places to be. Ordered clams as app. They were hot. Gave the waiter some tips on being more efficient. Nice guy.

I terribly miss the Pittston location, it was much easier to navigate your way through that building. The Scranton Cooper's is a maze. Even if it is very interesting to see all the historic photos and fantastic memorabilia, it is too frustrating of an escape room finding your way to the bathrooms and exit in the Scranton location. My biggest complaint is the disgraceful parking for disabled. At least two people were in wheelchairs, i saw two kids I'd guess were younger than ten with obvious needs for the wheelchairs. I don't remember seeing van accessible parking spots at all. As a person with multiple sclerosis and an occasional need for spacious accessibility of ingress and/or egress of vehicles and buildings and less exertion requirement by being closer to the door, I was disappointed they only had 5 or 6 parking spots which wete all occupied and the restaurant was packed. Another similar issue is the lack of seating for the wait rime to get a table, especially for a person with a disability. It is a shame. This was the first time the food disappointed me. The flounder was tough and lobster tails were even more tough, maybe overcooked or possibly even recooked. Spoons were not part of the cutlery at the table setting, making it difficult to spoon the cheese on top of the stuffed mushroom appetizer and butter over other things as we divided them and placed on a separate plate, or to stir the sugar in my tea. Our server was great. I have eaten at Cooper's almost my whole life, mostly in Pittston and only occasionally in Scranton. I had loved this establishment in the past. This was the a great disappointment as i had a date from Buffalo, NY and I told him how much i loved the food and spoke so highly of my other visits. I felt i was made to look like i lied or exaggerated.

My family and I stopped here on a whim for a quick lunch during a road trip and wow this place is fun! The food was really good, our waiter was fantastic and the atmosphere was the wildest assortment of fun I've ever seen! Kept my kids and I very entertained while we waited for our food (which came out surprisingly fast!). We already know this is our new favorite spot when we travel! Definitely put it on your must see list!

Always my favorite restaurant. Much needed time out tonight

First time here and it was horrible. Our server was horrible and it took over an hour and half for our food. Our food came out cold and the manager said it was because the kitchen was busy. Did nothing to make it right. Will not be coming back here again

As always, our food and dining experience was fantastic! It was my grandsons birthday and he had been telling all of his teachers he was going to Coopers to have lobster tail for his birthday! He loves coming there and always looks forward to our visits.

Great experience. Great atmosphere Great food. Can't wait for the outdoor dining areas to open up.

Best seafood place!

There was four of us and we all had the lobster special it was absolutely delicious. Service was great would recommend it to everyone.

If you're an Office fanatic like me, Cooper's Seafood House in Scranton, PA is an absolute must-visit! But let me tell you, it's not just the Office-themed decor that makes this place a gem – it's the whole experience. But what sets Cooper's apart is its attention to detail and dedication to creating an immersive environment. Where else can you find Zoltar from the movie Big looming in one corner and themed bathrooms dedicated to Elvis and The Beatles? The Office-themed ambiance is what initially drew us in, but it's the overall atmosphere and attention to detail that kept us hooked. Cool place w an overpriced gift shop. Not worth getting martinis unless on a special night bc they’re around $12 each. The happy hour oysters aren’t very good either. Nice to check out but not stay long.

Great time, delicious food, and yummy drinks!

Food was just okay, and for the price of the meal was kind of expecting more. Definitely feels like they charge as much as they do since they're relevant for things like The Office. The gift shop was also fairly mediocre and was just the exact same stuff you can get at Walmart or any gift shop but at a more expensive price. Overall, I left disappointed with the only good thing being the service staff was friendly and helpful. Would not really recommend and won't be coming here again.
